5. Case Example: The Meeting

In this section, we will view two interactions and consider the many permutations of diversity. We will consider the impact that gender has on the attitudes and reactions of team members in a meeting by viewing the same meeting led by a female and male. There is an opportunity for you to capture your reactions after each video.

Issues of gender and diversity can be especially sensitive to handle because so much is involved, on such deep levels including culture, life experience, and personal identity. Kindness, respect, and open communication go a long way in these matters.
