Consider the challenges faced by healthcare providers trying to build trust with patients who are deeply afraid of being rejected for who they are. As individuals age, they face new and unique challenges, and may feel vulnerable for many reasons. As healthcare providers, it is important that we take time to consider their perspectives, check our own biases, and treat individuals with dignity and respect.
