4. Summary and Review

The SARS outbreak in Toronto was a stark reminder of how vulnerable we all are. The unanticipated pressure on everyone—especially front-line healthcare and service providers—as we tried to gain control over the pandemic was overwhelming. 

We hope that through the various activities (videos, quizzes, and resources) you enjoyed the learning process. The first quiz was designed to consolidate basic facts about pandemics. The videos and second and third quizzes were designed for you to reflect on interactions during stressful situations and to highlight some simple communication techniques that, although not perfect, contributed to a more satisfactory and human interaction.
