3. Case Example: The Patient Experience

The aim of this section is to illustrate, from a Canadian perspective, the unique and individual needs of a particular dying patient and explore some possible approaches to “difficult” and rewarding conversations.

The following video introduces a difficult subject. We follow Nicky Barton as she discusses her experiences caring for dying patients. She reads some passages spoken by them to her. The host also adds commentary throughout.
