My Daily Practice of Smudging
The title of the song accompanying the smudging is “Miigwech”, which means thank you and an honouring. Aqua Nibii Waawaaskone, the composer of the song, was partly inspired by the end of the Anishnaabe thanksgiving prayer:

Thank you for all our knowing
Thank you spirit of the east
Thank you spirit of the south
Thank you spirit of the west
Thank you spirit of the north
