What are your norms in nonverbal communication: eye contact, distance between two people, touching?

Based on your viewpoint, which emotions are acceptable to show in public? Which emotions must not be shown in public?

Asking questions respectfully involves more than just the careful choice of words. Think about a time when you had to have a sensitive conversation with a colleague. How did you smooth the way, before and after? What would you do differently if you could have that conversation again?

People who are different in any way are a source of ambiguity to those around them; there is a degree of discomfort or uncertainty, whether conscious or unconscious. How well do you do relating to people when you feel uncertain?
